Tell them the gospel the LOVE of God for them
1 John 2: 15-16. 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
James 4:4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
John 18:36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
Just like Abraham, it is important for every Christian to know God called us to be set apart. He has set us apart from the ways, thoughts and attitudes of the world. This means every Christian who is called by God to His Son to receive Salvation is to live their life in such a way others see and know they are not molded by the world, But molded by the word of God and the Holy Spirit. Romans 12:1-2. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
So if were called apart from this world, our bodies to be a living sacrifice, our home not of this world. A world becoming ever more hostile, reprobate, excepting of making what is wrong-right and what is right-wrong. Then how are we to have love for the world?
We arent? we are to be as Jesus. Mattew 28:18-20. 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”Amen. John 17:14-16. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
I've said many times up here that we should never be Christians with our heads in the sand. The crazier the world gets the more I see people of faith loosing that faith, conforming to the pressures of the world. Forgetting that Biblical world view, forgetting that sound doctrine that is the word of God. Becoming tolerant of sin.
Terry says it all the time we are to be the light and salt of the world. if the church is just like the world then were does the world turn? to its self?
We are not to love the world. For this world is passing away. BUT we are to try and love the lost out of this world. Jude 1:23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.
Do we understand the love of God? that saved you and me out of our death? For the penalty of sin is death, least we forget were we came from. John 3:16-17. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
No matter what we are not to run from the world. hid and exclude our selves. Mattew 5:15. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. We have been given the light of the world or should I say the light of the world has been given for us, that threw him we might be saved. and to think that we would hide it or squander it. and not share it. or do as we should which is to proclaim the good news and point people to there salvation threw Jesus Christ. For who does it benefit other then ourselves if we don't share Jesus?
no one, which makes us pretty shellfish. And I don't think as true believers that were meant to be shellfish
I pray that you always know the love God has for you.
